Good morning! I hope everyone enjoyed their weekend.
Today we are starting area of circles. I copied a link for a great video for you to watch to help explain how to find the area of a circle as well as notes. Once you are done watching the video and reading the notes, I want you to try 3 problems on page 626.
I will go over this tomorrow in more detail during our weekly Zoom meeting.
Have a great day!

Complete the worksheet. Reference your notes to help you. Please email me with any questions!
Due:
There is one vocabulary word that you will see on this assignment that is not in your notes.
CHORD- This is a line segment connecting two points on the circle that is NOT going through the center. (The line going through the center is the diameter.)
I attached a picture with an example for you.

Good morning!
Complimentary (two angles that add up to 90 degrees) and Supplementary Angles (two angles that add up to 180 degrees, or a straight line. These angles do NOT have to be adjacent! (they don't have to touch) . I talked about this during our Zoom session last week and I have re posted the notes to Lesson 2 to Classroom. Also, page 544 gives you definitions and great examples.
As always, I am here if you need anything!

Use the notes I provided for you and went over yesterday to help you. There are examples of each question in there. For #'s 10 and 11, you need to write an equation and solve. (hint: #10 they are vertical angles, so they are equal and #11 they are supplementary angles so they equal 180 degrees)
Please let me know if you have questions..... I am here!

Use the notes I provided for you on classroom, pages 506 - 507 in your textbook give great examples, and this Edpuzzle video https://edpuzzle.com/media/5ea03af560ee923fb12c44c6 gives you step by step examples as well.
*Remember when you multiply or divide by a negative...... you must FLIP THE SIGN!
For example -2x > 6. You will divide both sides by -2 to solve...... but since we are dividing by -2.... we flip the sign! It will now read x < -3
I will be available for Zoom to help and go over examples with anyone who needs it. Let me know and I will be happy to help!

If you did not turn in the one and two step equations test please do so as soon as possible.
Today we will solving inequalities.
I want you to watch this brainpop video explaining inequalities. It is the same steps as solving equations! We need to graph our solutions as well which is shown in the video and the notes. I will also have 1 or 2 Zoom sessions this week that everyone is required to attend! I will send out invitations shortly.
https://www.brainpop.com/math/algebra/graphingandsolvinginequalities/
I have also attached notes to the stream for solving inequalities, which I will reference throughout the week.
I would also like you to read pages 498-499 in your textbook and try problems a,b,c, and d on page 499.
