Congratulations to following boys who made the MMS 6/7 Boys Soccer Team! You all worked so hard. Your effort, communication, dedication, and athleticism did not go unnoticed. Check Google Classroom for the seasons schedule!

To everyone who tried out but was not selected, great job! I know it takes a lot of courage to try out, and I appreciate the effort and positive attitude you showed. You should be proud of yourself! Please do not be discouraged! Keep practicing, keep improving, and we hope to see you try out again next year.

Dear Parents/Guardians,

Hello and welcome to the 2026 Boys 6/7 Soccer season! We are excited to begin the season and are looking forward to working with your child(ren). We hope this will be a fun, positive, and rewarding experience for all athletes involved.

Any student interested in trying out for the MMS Boys 6/7 Soccer team must have an up-to-date physical on file before participating in tryouts or practices. In addition, each athlete must submit a completed registration form on (or as soon as possible) the first day of tryouts. Registration forms can be found on the school website.

After school, all athletes will change into athletic attire and meet in  room 121 before heading out to the back turf field for practice.

Tryout Information

Our first tryout will take place on Monday, September 14th. Please note that tryouts will be held on September 14th, 15th, 16th, and 17th unless weather requires a change. Athletes are required to be at all tryout dates.

The first cut will be posted on Wednesday September 16th after 7 PM on Ms.Veverka’s Teacher Page. Those selected will come for a final day of tryouts on Thursday September 17th. Final roster will be posted after 7PM on Thursday night. Any updates or messages regarding tryouts will be shared through morning announcements and posted on my teacher page.

General Information

• Practices are held Monday through Friday from 2:30–4:00 PM, unless otherwise noted.
• Athletes will meet immediately after school in Room 121.
• Students must be signed out promptly at 4:00 PM at the main entrance by a parent or approved guardian. 
• A full schedule of practices and meets will be posted on the Boys 6/7 Soccer Team Google Classroom once finalized. Athletes should check this regularly.
• The season runs through the end of October, possibly into November.

Attendance Expectations

• If a student misses the day before a game, they may not start, or may sit for part of the game.
• Students who miss three or more practices and/or games may be removed from the team.
• We encourage athletes to attend all practices and games so they can continue to grow, improve, and contribute to the team.

Season Expectations

• Physical paperwork must be submitted to the nurses
• Wear appropriate attire, cleats, and shin guards.
• Bring a labeled water bottle to every practice.
• Dress for the weather.
• Bring a sweatshirt or warm layer to games.
• Pack a small, appropriate snack (pretzels, granola bars, etc.).
• If your child cannot attend practice/game, I kindly ask that a parent or guardian notify me in writing by emailing Coach Veverka before practice/game.
• Please label all personal belongings, as athletes are responsible for their own items.
• Most importantly—come ready to work hard, support teammates, and have fun!
