Welcome Letter - Mrs. Meara
Dear families and students,
As I enter my 25th year in education, I reflect on how much I love being a teacher in this incredible town and school! At Marlboro Middle School, we truly are a family, and I am excited to be part of this wonderful community once again. This year marks a new adventure for me as I step into the role of 6th grade Language Arts teacher. While most of my career has been dedicated to special education, including supporting diverse learners in many settings, I am thrilled to bring my passion for literacy to this vibrant group of students. Last year, I had the pleasure of teaching 7th grade literacy, which was a wonderful experience that prepared me for this new challenge.
Reading, to me, is like breathing in—taking in new worlds, ideas, and perspectives—while writing is breathing out—expressing thoughts, feelings, and creativity. I am passionate about sharing this joy of language with my students and helping them discover their unique voices. In our classroom, mistakes are not setbacks; they are stepping stones to growth. We will embrace challenges, learn from them, and celebrate every success along the way.
Throughout my career, my co-teaching experiences in 6th, 7th, and 8th grade classrooms have shaped my approach to teaching—one that is student-centered, compassionate, and focused on fostering lifelong learners. I am looking forward to a fantastic year filled with curiosity, creativity, and collaboration. Please feel free to reach out to me anytime. Together, we will make this a memorable and inspiring year for all!
All assignments will be posted on my Google Classroom for studentse to access.
Sincerely,
Mrs. Tara Meara
