Mr. Moraca's Science "Stuff"

I have been teaching 6th grade science for the past twenty four years in Marlboro Township - twenty of those years have come at MMS. I am native to New Jersey and have a deep respect for all that the "Garden State" can offer. I am a graduate of The College of New Jersey both as an undergraduate and a graduate student. 

Welcome to 6th grade! This will be an exciting year for all of us! 

This year in SCIENCE we will be covering GOMA. All units will focus on Earth Science topics. The concepts learned will be useful, not only this year, but also in the other sciences covered in MMS. 

GEOLOGY

We will focus on the changing structure of Earth. We will focus on the past, present and future of our ever-changing planet.

OCEANOGRAPHY

We will focus on the world's waters and how they affect our daily lives.

METEOROLOGY

We will focus on one of the most dynamic and important factors that impacts us daily - WEATHER. Causes and effects will be discussed.

ASTRONOMY

We will focus on our place in space. Origins and theories of "Why we are here" will be discussed.
