Welcome back!
I could not be more excited to share my love of reading and writing with you as I embark on my eighteenth year of teaching! My goal is for you to gain new perspectives and develop a deeper understanding as you analyze challenging literary pieces and refine your writing skills. Teamwork is crucial in order to achieve that goal. Your parents, guardians, and I each have an essential role to play in helping you along the way, but remember, your job is to come prepared and willing to learn each day.
Utilize this teacher page to help remain organized, stay on track with due dates of independent practice and long-term assignments, as well as access valuable resources. This teacher page (and calendar), Google Classroom, and your motivation are the necessary keys to your success in our seventh-grade ELA class.
Supplies/Materials Needed for the 2025-2026 School Year:
- 3 x 3 inch Post-its
- highlighter(s)
- 8 divider tabs (we will label these together as a class in September)
- lined paper
- colored pencils
- blue and/or black pens (please have EXTRA, store them in your Chromebook case)
- headphones (keep these stored in your Chromebook case at all times)
- binder (can be shared with another class, but you must remain organized!)
- 1 composition book
- novel (when assigned)
These items, along with your fully charged Chromebook (once distributed) are due in class each and every day!
