Biography:

 

Welcome to English Language Arts. My name is Mrs. Scalici, and this is my eighteenth year at Marlboro Middle School. I attended Montclair State University, where I received a B.S. in Business Administration and graduated Magna Cum Laude. I worked in the business field, but was not content and decided a career in teaching is far more intrinsically valuable. Thereafter, I attended Kean University and obtained my certification as a K-12 English teacher, maintaining an even higher GPA than before. 

 

I love being able to get up in the morning every day excited about my career and truly appreciate being able to be a part of all of your children's lives. I have been recognized by the Marlboro Board of Education for my dedication and commitment to excellence and am truly looking forward to working with you to make this a terrific year.

Hello students! This year you will read challenging, complex literature and informational text, conduct close, analytic reading, compare and synthesize ideas across texts, acquire new vocabulary, write clear, cohesive essays on a range of topics, improve speaking and listening skills, and much more. I believe strongly in active participation and cooperative learning and expect all my students to use the resources I give them to strive to do their best. Please help me in accomplishing this goal.
