Reading (Literacy)

Expectations that need to be followed daily in ELA:
- Come in quietly & start the DO NOW before asking questions or to go to the bathroom/to get a drink.
- Keep the floor free from obstacles like string bags, binders, etc.
- Clean up after yourselves. (Let's not have any more tissue messes on the floor near the garbage.)
- Come prepared everyday with: ELA binder, pen, post-its, headphones/earbuds, & a charged Chromebook (+ class novel or ind. reading book depending on the MP)
Important Reminders:
- HW & upcoming quizzes & tests are posted on Google Classroom, discussed in class & written on the board, & can also be found below on the calendar.
- *TIP: Viewing the calendar in AGENDA mode, is a little easier to read.
- To stay up to date with your child's progress in ELA, please speak to your child about what's going on in class (and/or sign up for Google Classroom notifications) & view the Parent Portal regularly.
- Don't panic! E-mail me (Mrs. Duberman) if you have a question about a grade posted or upcoming assignment and I'll explain or help clear up any misunderstandings.
