* 3-ring binder (1-2 inch) with lined paper

* black or blue pens or pencils

* brightly colored pens

* highlighter

* post-its

* binder dividers (Do Now, Literature, Writing Process, Grammar, Vocabulary)

Behavior

Respectful behavior is expected at all times.  Should a student choose to break one of the posted classroom rules, he or she will receive a verbal warning.  If the inappropriate behavior continues, a phone call and/or email home will take place.  With a third offense, an office referral will be made.   

Homework

Homework is given in order to reinforce skills taught in class.  Each student is required to use their agenda in order to record all homework assignments. My teacher page also includes daily homework assignments.  Google Classroom is a great place to find posted documents and assignments. 

Absences 

Assignments that were due during an absence should be handed in upon the student’s return to school. Missed work should be made up as soon as possible.  Please make arrangements to review the concepts that were missed during an absence.
